As District 834 and its employees prepare to enter another round of contract negotiations, both sides say the recent economic downturn is pressuring them to keep wage increases low, if not eliminate them altogether.


EP council to increase wage pools 3 percent (Peoria Journal Star)

The City Council agreed Tuesday to increase a wage fund pool for each department by 3 percent to keep the salaries of full-time, nonunion city employees higher than those of the employees they supervise.
